Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is one of the many styles of yoga being practiced. Founded in the 1970s from a background in martial arts and Taoist yoga.

Sanskrit Pronunciation: yii-n

Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that targets the connective tissues of the body, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia, through long-held passive stretches. Unlike more dynamic and active styles of yoga like Vinyasa, which focus on muscular strength and endurance, Yin yoga encourages relaxation and release.
